Clive developed a comprehensive background in the banking and finance industry through his involvement in both the Building Society and banking fields.  Following his departure as CEO of Trust Bank Bay Of Plenty he has expanded his interests in the property development arena.  His most recent enterprise has been his involvement in developing the $40 Million Oceanside Twin Towers and Motor Lodge complex at Mount Maunganui.  He brings to the Board a vast wealth of financial and broad-based business and property experience to oversee the sound business strategy, planning and growth of the Group.

Prior to purchasing a shareholding in Long John Silver in 1994, Errol has for the previous 10 years been the owner-operator of the internationally renowned Moose Lodge.  His early working life involved in the banking, stockbroking and savings & loans industries gave Errol a sound financial background from which to launch an entrepreneurial platform that has seen him successfully own and manage many businesses allied to the food and hospitality industries.  His proven attributes and deal-making abilities in these areas will ensure he spearheads and leads the projected new business acquisitions for the Group in a professional and profitable manner.

Philip left University and Auckland Technical Institute with a Diploma of Electronics and Computer Technology and spent 10 years working for major international computer giants Wang and Prime.

After two years of self-employment contracting to the computer industry, Philip then spent 5 years as the Group Information Systems Manager for an international health food Company.  Philip joined the Long John Silver Group in 1995, purchasing his own Long John Silver Franchise, doubling its sales within a year. With this actual experience as a Franchisee combined with two years as an Area Manager for the Company, Philip’s proven first hand experience and communications skills provides for the continued professional and general management of the Group.

Malcolm Charles Smith		Operations Director

After leaving school Malcolm undertook a Master Locksmith qualification, forming his own Master Locksmith business, which he grew to substantial size from the ground up over 7 years.  Malcolm sold his business in 1989 and joined Errol at Moose Lodge as General Manager.  Malcolm joined the Long John Silver Group in 1995 purchasing his own Long John Silver Franchise and more than doubling its sales within a year.  Malcolm’s similar experience as a Franchisee combined with his two years as an Area Manager for the Company and his direct hands-on approach to operations management of all Group stores will ensure the ongoing success and commitment to the operational side of the business.

Leonard Charles Storck		Consultant

After leaving school Len spent 7 years training in banking and mortgage lending institutions.  He then spent 10 years abroad gaining knowledge and first hand experiences in the accounting field.  His last 20 years has seen Len manage a large distribution Company in South Africa and also General Manage divisions of Tegel Foods Limited within New Zealand, and is now currently active in commercial real estate.  Lens broad knowledge of the food industry and his invaluable contacts within the commercial real estate industry provides a major advantage in access to suppliers and commercial properties
