COVID 19 UPDATE- Level 2

 Hi everyone

We are very excited that we can now reopen all our stores to you! With the new guidelines put in place around Alert Level 2, from Thursday 14 May all LJ’s stores will be open and you will be able to dine in following the new social distancing guidelines staying 1m apart from unknown diners. These stores will also be offering contactless store door pick up and delivery via our partner Uber Eats. Please visit our website to order and for our menu and store opening hours. We are doing our best to source all our normal ingredients however the closure may have affected our deliveries and therefore menu items and we appreciate your patience at this time.

We will be taking all the necessary precautions and following all the government regulations around operating at Alert Level 2 and continuing with our strict health and safety procedures. You can be sure we will be doing everything possible to continue to protect our staff and customers.

Below are some of the measures we will be taking to ensure we keep our staff and customers safe:

1.    You can be confident our staff will continue to follow the physical distancing guidelines and strict hygiene procedures.

2.    We will use a single server per group, where possible. This means each group has one server, though servers can each serve more than one table.

3.    Groups will be kept seated.

4.    Groups will be kept one metre apart.

5.    Limited number of people inside at any time so that physical distancing can be maintained – no more than 100 guests.

6.    Ensure that you don’t need to queue near other people to enter, pay, or go to the bathroom.

7.    We will provide good facilities for people to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly.

8.    We will maintain a contact tracing register with details of everyone that has entered our premises.

9.    You can dine in and order online and be confident knowing we have followed all the necessary protocols to ensure our food preparation and handling as well as kitchen standards make dining, pick-up and delivery services as safe as possible.

10. If you are feeling unwell we ask that you please hold off from coming to our stores and seek professional health advice and call healthline on 0800 358 5453. We also require our staff to stay home if they’re feeling unwell.

11. Our options for online orders will be

a.    Online order pick up from our Store via our website- visit website for menus and opening hours https://www.ljs.co.nz/order-online

b.    Delivery via our delivery partner Uber Eats. Order online at www.ubereats.com/nz  

12. Our staff will be sanitising their surfaces every 5 minutes and wash hands frequently.

13. We will follow physical distancing guidelines where possible in the kitchen and 1m in the restaurant.

14. Our staff have completed online training around health & safety while on lockdown.

15. We will, where possible, use touchless food preparation, cooking, stacking, bagging and serving.
